Bush Refrigerated Vans is a certified installer of Thermo King, Carrier and Zanotti refrigeration units. Within each product line, there are different options with different temperature control capabilities. Sound kind of complex? Don’t worry. You don’t have to become a technical expert to know which solution is best for you. As part of our process, we will work with you to understand the cargo you’re carrying and your delivery requirements so we can build your vans with the refrigeration unit that’s optimized for your business. For example, here are a few of the critical questions to consider when determining the refrigeration unit you need:
Q. First and foremost, what is the temperature requirement for your cargo ?
The vehicle solution you need, first and foremost, is built around maintaining the perfect temperature for your valuable cargo. Maintaining product quality and product integrity during transport is critical and enables you to grow your business.
Q. Where are you located ?
The natural outside temperatures where you live need to be considered because they will affect how your delivery van maintains the internal temperatures you require. Making deliveries when it’s 102° in Las Vegas is very different than making deliveries when it’s 75° in Indianapolis. We will certainly factor in your location and relative outside temperatures when finalizing your reefer unit.
Q. How many delivery stops will you be making each day ?
Each delivery stop requires you to open up the cargo doors which means the temperature inside the van is increased because of the outside temperatures. If you have a lot of stops each day, you’ll want to utilize a refrigeration unit that has the necessary cooling power to counteract this outside temperature in order to sustain the cooling temperature you need.

Rear Heat Option
It’s also possible that outside temperatures where you are located will be below the cargo temperature and work to make the cargo temperature lower than desired. In this scenario, the rear heat option on the vehicle will increase the temperature to the cargo area to counteract the outside temperature, bringing the cargo back up to the optimal point.
Electric Standby Option
Electric standby simply allows you to physically plug in your vehicle to an outside power source in order to keep you cargo refrigerated or frozen when the vehicle is not running. This feature means you can keep your product at the right temperature as you’re loading it up and before/after your make your deliveries.
